
Harvard University’s Opportunity Insights (OI) is excited to launch the Opportunity Fellows Teacher Fellowship Program.
We are now accepting applications for the inaugural nationwide cohort of educators who will partner with us as co‑designers to build and refine curricular resources grounded in OI’s research on inequality and the fading American Dream. Opportunity Fellows will help us explore how big‑data tools—such as the Opportunity Atlas—can be used in classrooms to help students investigate pressing social and economic issues.
By bringing their instructional expertise and on‑the‑ground insights, Opportunity Fellows will play a critical role in shaping how this work is taught across diverse learning environments. Their contributions will not only inform OI’s educational efforts but also help advance best practices that can strengthen the broader field and support future scaling of this kind of instruction.
The fellowship’s goal is to expand access to dynamic, data‑rich learning opportunities for all students, regardless of background. We welcome applications from educators in any subject area and see particular alignment with:
