We are pleased to invite submissions to the Economic Opportunity European Conference, hosted by the Economics Department at Sciences Po and jointly organized by Opportunity Insights at Harvard University and the Spanish Opportunity Lab. The conference will take place on June 15 and 16, 2026 at Sciences Po in Paris and will feature a keynote presentation by Raj Chetty.

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers working on the determinants and consequences of economic mobility and inequality, broadly defined, and on public policies surrounding these issues. We particularly encourage applications from researchers doing work in a European context, but also welcome applications studying other contexts.

Antoine Ferey (Sciences Po), Inés Guix (Opportunity Insights & Spanish Opportunity Lab), Claire Montialoux (Sciences Po & CNRS), Javier Soria (Opportunity Insights, PSE & Spanish Opportunity Lab), and Matthew Staiger (Opportunity Insights) are organizing the conference.

We are accepting submissions of papers and extended abstracts through March 1, 2026. To submit, please complete this form.

Additional information about the conference can be found in the call for papers.
